Millennium Bridge
The exhibition sits on the Millennium Bridge, designed by Arup, Foster and Partners, Bisset Adams, Wordsalad, with Peter Ackroyd. The West side of the bridge will deal with all that is ‘noble’ and the East side of the bridge will deal with the ‘darker’ side of the Thames.

WORLD CUP 2006 STADIA

Exhibition by the German Detail magazine on designs for new stadia for the World Cup 2006 including Herzog de Meuron’s Bayern Munich ground as well as refurbished building. A screen will provide live coverage of matches from Germany.

An Exhibition resulting from a residency, by Minnie Weicz, in the Coal and Fish Offices on the King’s Cross Development site. Transforming the building into a camera-obscura, images of the changing King’s cross terrain were observed by the building and recorded on photographic paper.

The Agora London team, from Central Saint Martins, studied a route from the Globe Theatre and Tate Modern along the South Bank westwards over Hungerford Bridge towards Trafalgar Square. The exhibition illustrates this three year research project concerned with the planning and sustainability of the urban environment.

VivaCity is part of the Sustainable Urban Environment (SUE) action research programme funded by the Engineering & Physical Science Research Council with the ODPM and Housing Corporation. ARCHITECTS IN PUBLIC TOILETS

Public toilets along the Biennale walk route.
This installation, by Architects in Residence, involves decorating toilet cubicles including wallpapering and installing a series of objects, which relate to the domestic toilet, i.e. crocheted toilet brush holders, lampshades and pink splash mats in order to re-evaluate the harsh internal environment of most facilities.

A sandy beach will be created replete with deck chairs, ice cream vans and donkey rides. This project aims to change people's perception of the City and the way they behave in it. It will also change the typical city environment in the summer months to a place many would rather be.

The installation will use reclaimed materials to create an abstract shelter that inhabits the public square by responding to the roads and various views to create an improved public place. The participants will be engaged in constructing, designing and inhabiting the installation as it develops through the course of the week.

An installation by Angela Wright to consist of a white carpet of unfired porcelain pieces. The pieces are stacked together, supporting each other and have echoes of a city/landscape or a thrown down fleece. The carpet will produce a luminous white floor in the gloom.

A site specific video installation. The video will be projected onto the front window of a shop front along the route and will be most visible from early evening. The installation will create an illusion of the space within the shop filling up with water and then draining away. A sound element will also be incorporated.
